UPDATE!!!

JOLLOF SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS.

Hello!!!
This post was inspired by my friend, who was returning from home. I had to prepare a nice meal as it's our tradition but due to unforeseen circumstances, there wasn't enough time for all the "sereren". I decided to make spaghetti because it would save me a lot of time. So in order for it not to look like an ordinary meal or like something I just concocted at the last minute, I decided to add meatballs to it. Like I said earlier, it's a tradition and as such requires something special, lol. Not an everyday kind of meal. Enjoy!!!!

                                                         INGREDIENTS
500 grams of Minced meat
1 Sliced onion
1 Table spoon of  grounded Ginger and garlic
1 Tea spoon of Rosemary
2 Bell Peppers (red and yellow)
200 grams of runner beans
1 Tea spoon of Nutmeg
3 Cubes of Maggi
1 Table spoon of curry powder
1 Table spoon of  grounded red pepper
1 Tea spoon of grounded black pepper
1 Table spoon of salt
1 Egg
4 Table spoons of Bread crumbs
1 pack of spaghetti
Fresh grounded tomatoes
4 Table spoon of tomato puree
Groundnut oil

                                                    PROCEDURE

  • To a bowl already containing the minced meat, add red pepper, salt, maggi, curry, ginger & garlic, to taste.
  • To the above mixture, add the egg. Mix together then add the bread crumbs little by little until you get your desired texture.
  • Mold the minced meat mixture into balls and set aside.
  • In a pot already containing groundnut oil heat for three minutes, then add your sliced onions, chopped peppers(bell and chilli) and stir and allow to fry for 4 mins.
  • Add the fresh tomatoes, maggi, rosemary, ginger & garlic, stir and allow to fry for 5 mins then you can add the tomato puree and fry till your satisfied.
  • To the sauce add the curry, nutmeg, grounded pepper, salt stir then add about 2 cups of water and stir.
  • Place the meatballs and allow to cook for 20 minutes.
  • Parboil the spaghetti for 5 minutes then pour the spaghetti into a sieve to drain the water.
  • Remove the meatballs from the sauce, now add the spaghetti and mix properly, place the meatballs together with the runner beans on top and allow to cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
  • Stir lightly and Voila!!!!!!! It's ready to be devoured......LOL.

PS: This was my first attempt at making this meatballs and it turned out awesome.
