The King women series is directed and produced by Kemi Adetiba. The recently concluded series consists of 13 episodes, where women with powerful stories tell their story with the hope of inspiring young women. Although, it's main focus is on women; I would encourage men to watch this too as both sexes would benefit from this. I am going to share my top five episodes... In all honesty, all 13 episodes are very inspiring & unique. As a result, it was difficult choosing; eventually, I was able to narrow it down. Thanks to Kemi Adetiba for this beautiful initiative. May God bless you richly!!!
Lets dive into it...
Ayodeji Megbope
She is the CEO of No left overs Nig Ltd. She started her business with 1,000 Naira, selling moi moi. The story of how she started her business took her to the White house, where she met Michelle Obama. From her interview, it is evident that her husband played a significant role in the success of her business. Her story is actually my favourite out of the series. I can't tell you why, you have to watch the video to find out. As cliche as it might be, nothing is impossible. Finally, age is not an excuse.

She is an architect, entrepreneur, philanthropist, speaker, radio host, and author. From her interview, I could pretty much tell that she had always known what she wanted out of life, at a very young age. I'm not just talking career but every other aspect. she is a very intelligent woman. I highly suggest you make notes while listening to this interview, because it's filled with so many powerful words that you would like to remember for life. she practically went from telling her story to teaching lol!!!
Here are some of my favourite words from her interview
To be submissive, first be powerful. This was so on point!!!
Life does not respond to breakthroughs and miracles. It responds to principles.
Remi Fagbohun
She is the owner and founder of the versatile shopper. Her story was very emotional. she has been through a lot, but she didn't let whatever she was going through at that point in time define her. Her personality was still able show through, how did she do that though. I loved the way she looked after her siblings... As for her friends, they are the real deal #friendship goals. Her story will change your outlook on life for the better.
Tara Fela Durotoye:
She just had to make my list lol!!! I mean, this post wouldn't be complete without her. TFD is a lawyer, motivational speaker, makeup artist, founder of house of Tara international and creator of Tara Orekelewa beauty range (I bet you didn't know she studied law and also started off as a makeup artist). Now you know why Beauty influencers, makeup artists and even makeup enthusiasts look up to her. she basically paved the the way for young and upcoming makeup/influencers in Nigeria. She has done so well with her brand (house of Tara) not just in Nigeria, but in West Africa as a whole. It's nice to see her combine being a wife, mother and her business together. This shows that with God and hard work everything is possible.
In her interview, she talks about her challenging childhood, marriage, how she started and grew her business, her advice to her 16 years old self and so much.

Ty Bello is a singer, songwriter and photographer. I first heard about her from one of her songs. GREEN LAND. She used to be part of a gospel band called Kush but they later seperated. In her interview; she talks about her childhood, being raised by a single mum, how she dealt with infertility and how she became a photographer. Her story reminds me of this saying, 'sometimes on the way to a dream you get lost and find better one'. She initially started out as a hairstylist and later went into photography. Can I just say that she is killing it!!! Her works are always on point. She just knows how to enhance your features.
Adesuwa Oyenokwe
She is a popular TV presenter and publisher. Her complete faith in God is one that should be emulated. In her interview she talks about her family, children, career, and many more... In her words, religion I will give to you but faith you will find....#the truth
I know I said 5 but like i said earlier they are all inspiring lol
Whose story is your favourite? I would love to hear from you....If you haven't watched the series , all the videos are on youtube.
