MY LETTER TO NIGERIANS AND SOUTH AFRICANS. (THE ORGY OF XENOPHOBIA)

Apparently the dictionary meaning of Xenophobia is the strong dislike and fear of people from other countries.How this differs from racism was the first question I asked myself.

While interacting with a South african about his views about the blatant and criminal attacks carried out on my Brothers and SISTERS.He clarified that Xenophobia actually started as community vigilantism but was hijacked by criminals.He further told that he is of the opinion that Majority of Nigerians in South africa are drug dealers and criminals so communities in South africa are purging themselves of apparent evil eggs.If this is the view shared in the 21^st century by an African,it is an assault on the brotherly bond shared by Africans.

Imagine the disgust I experienced when I watched a video of a South african minister on social media that tagged Nigerians as criminals. I don’t care about the percentage of people that commit a crime{I care about the crime} ,I care expediently when we allow the culture of barbarianism to dictate Mob killings for criminals then we are no better than the criminals themselves.The South africans should hold their government responsible for its inability to provide adequate  security,employment and tackle economic challenges that allow for the demand of these drugs to skyrocket. It's not rocket science I mean if you fail to develop your country its people will suffer.

Yesterday I watched a video circulating online of people jumping down from buildings to save their lives,I saw pictures of People burnt ,I WATCHED videos of People being stoned on the streets purportedly by South Africans,I saw pictures of properties destroyed ,properties said to be owned by Nigerians and I read stories of Nigerians who claimed these attacks are rampant in the areas you call villages. Imagine my surprise when I learnt this attacks have been going on for a while now and has been steadily rising until it peaked of recent. This is plain Black on Black crime,I understand how much it hurts to see these criminals ravage your society ,but in this same South africa we have Nigerians who are doctors,lawyers,teachers and law respecting citizens.Judging all Nigerians by the actions of a few bad elements is dangerous. A POPULAR YOUTH LEADER IN South africa said South africa cannot exist on its own as no country can sufficiently do that,For a country like South africa to think it can exist with borders and shut itself off from the entire world is a testimony to the shady mentality implanted by a backward economy and an uninspiring government.

This is 2019and I speak for other AFRICANS when I say THIS KILLINGS MUST STOP. South Africa has a very high homicide rate and I say for all AFRICANS THAT THE TIME FOR BARBARIC KILLINGS OF AFRICANS MUST END NOW,SOUTH AFRICA ISN'T A LAWLESS COUNTRY SO IF YOU HAVE CRIMINALS IN YOUR MIDST ALLOW THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE,INCESSANT AND ABOMINABLE ACTS LIKE THIS MAKES YOU MURDERERS AND SAVAGES NOT FREEDOM FIGHTERS AND IF YOU DON’T TRUST THE LAW TAKE MY CUE AND BLAME THE GOVERNMENT!

I must condemn South Africa and her citizens for some petty reasons that apparently fuelled this hate vibes.I mean issues like Nigerians are too loud,we steal their jobs,we steal their women , I mean come on its 2019.

I learnt today that these attacks have been recorded since 1994 and have peaked since then.SOUTH AFRICAs government should have recognized these potential time bombs and tackle the nucleus of it all by doing the needful and providing Jobs,economic reform policies,better security and quality education to mention but a few but instead PRETORIA turned a blind eye.

To SOUTH AFRICANS, It hurts when I read about the spike in crimes and the dangers you all live in.Its also criminal to think that foreigners are a threat ,I encourage anyone to show me any statistical analysis that shows AFRICANS that are underqualified are stealing jobs meant for SOUTH AFRICANS,It also cannot be proven to a certainty that NIGERIANS,ZAMBIANS,TANZANIANS are polluting SOUTH AFRICA.There is however a proven record rcord that defines South africa as a hotbed of rape,murder,armed robbery and other shameful activities perpetuated by its citizens.While you point fingers at your African brothers please realise that this sense of insecurity you have grown coupled with this growing hatred that makes you chant songs,burn people,attack your brothers is the classic example of the failure of another AFRICAN GOVERNMENT TO DO RIGHT BY ITS CITIZENS.

TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT AND ITS CITIZENS ITS TIME TO SAY THIS TRUTH.WE ALL KNOW THAT YALL ARENT INNOCENT.SOUTH AFRICANS COMMIT DESPICABLE CRIMES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AFRICA BUT WE HAVE NEVER TAGGED NOR BLACKLISTED YALL TO DECIDE JUNGLE JUSTICE AS THE SOLUTION TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN PROBLEM.

Let me remind you today of a little history the country you hate so much supported you ,and your acceptance to the international community was due in no little way supported and bankrolled by the despicable NIGERIA and did I mention yes THE MIGHTY MANDELA THAT WAS GIVEN SOLACE IN THE CRIMINAL COUNTRY AND THE SOUTH AFRICANS THAT HAD NIGERIAN PASSPORTS ISSUED TO THEM BUT THEN WHAT DO I  KNOW NIGERIANS ARE COCKROACHES TO THE MIGHTY SOUTH AFRICANS.

THIS is not a hate write up fueled by anger but its time someone says this plainly SOUTH AFRICANS need to wake up to the fact that they contributed to the decandence in their society.when it comes to drug trafficking SOUTH Africans are major share holders in the drug syndicates and organised crimes you so passionately accuse Nigerians of but hey what do we know.

@SAVNDANIEL shared  a delightful insight  into studies that exposes the average south African as a lover of crime and violence.He goes further to reveal that the sheer laziness of locals,refusal to work,refusal to embrace education and love for crime results in the widespread distribution of hard drugs.Truth is SOUTH AFRICANS should join the bandwagon and express utmost dissatisfaction with the government ,its policies and its legal system.

South africa has one of the highest rape ratio in the world with some 65000 reported for the year ending in march 2012 and these perpetrators were black, south Africans majorly.

Poverty,Unemployment,Rape are mainly ethnic driven in South africa a country where children of parents with low income are more driven towards commiting crimes ,it’s the truth and south Africans know it.

Increased crime rate,inequality,Poverty are 3 major problems that plagues South africa and amongst them chiefly poverty drives the average South african to crimes. South africa has come a long way from the Apartheid era and has advanced structurally but are still archaic and primitive as a country.So before blames for the ills of South africa is placed on the feet of other Africans I suggest the South african government tackles family instability that tackles social ills,I suggest south Africans call out their government on their inability to tackle their weak policing system,poor economic reforms,its inability to tackle corruption amongst its leaders before pointing fingers.Its time the blames are placed where it should have been a long time ago.THIS IS NOT THE SOUTH AFRICA THAT THE GREAT NELSON MANDELA FOUGHT FOR .I AM ALSO PROUD OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA STUDENTS AND OTHER STUDENTS IN SOUTH AFRICA AND SOUTH AFRICANS WHO HAVE COME OUT TO PROTEST AND SPEAK AGAINST THIS CANCER THAT IS CURRENTLY PLAGUING AFRICA!

TO NIGERIANS~  Though recent attacks on Nigerians has made Nigerians express genuine concern and hurt that is the norm in light of videos and pictures circulating online showing Nigerians being maimed and assaulted and killed too.This MUHAMMED BUHARI administration has a strong critic in me but the joke is people like me who point accusing fingers at the government are also guilty of disorderly conducts ,and I agree NIGERIANS aren’t saints and I APOLOGISE TO SOUTH AFRICA FOR ALL THE HURTS THAT THE BAD EGGS HAVE PUT THEM THROUGH.On a side note this tragic events have shown me that the outside world does not care about us AFRICANS.Whenever any sad event occurs around the world WE NIGERIANS jump on the PRAY FOR bandwagon but barbaraic and shameful events are perpetrated against us and no whiff of public attention was called to it,that speaks a lot.

To all Nigerian Youths ,in a way I am proud of the way we came together to give ourselves a voice .Nigeria has unlimited and untapped resources still raw and untouched with staggering potentials in us youths.If we allow events like this disintegrate our proud nation we will remain the shadow of the great nation we are currently now.An artist asked the question IF OUR COUNTRY IS GOOD WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN SOUTHIE!It's time as we advice our south African brothers to demand for their rights we should do the same also ,we should demand for our rights and amenities.

To my fellow Nigerians who have turned to reprisals attacks due to emotions and anger ruling our thoughts,we have nothing to gain if we allow uncouth elements in south Africa bait us to go low like them.I applaud NANS for standing up for the country ,there is nothing patriotic than seeing Nigerians demand for the best and not settle for less from other countries and in our country.

To my President ,SIR I don’t get the slow and steady stance ,If Americans perceive a threat to their citizens all avenues diplomatic and whatnots will be pursued,But you sir You just decided not to weigh in ,instead you send an unnamed envoy which many see as a show of weakness because we prefer our MAIN MAN speaking and assuring us instead.Sir the point is our cries apparently pushed you to even start diplomatic measures ,Its sad sir.

Dear Nigerians ,I watched a video where south Africans testified that one banana spoils the bunch for Nigerians.Please let us not reply to these trying times with hate and anger,while we admit that Xenophobia comes from a place of hate and envy ,reprisal attacks and looting coupled with burning of infrastructures does not make us any better.A governor in the south western state said reprisal attacks to XENOPHOBIA in south Africa has cost us about 5000 jobs not to mention the facts that companies like SHOPRITE,MTN etc have Nigerians employed and even some of these supposed SA companies have Nigerian owners not the south African owners.

A POPULAR FIRST LADY ONCE SAID AND I QUOTE    ~WHEN THEY GO LOW WE GO HIGH!

Nigeria is a country founded with love ,we might have our internal issues but we must not resolve to HATE.If we resolve to looting,stealing and not protesting the issue the legal way,we will hurt ourselves more than we think we hurt them.Nigerians should take a book from MOZAMBICANS,ZAMBIANS and MALAWIANS  who have all protested these injustice in a proper and legal manner.

I do hope our LEADERS are aware of the way NIGERIANS REACTED to the attacks on our brothers,this is a sign of things to come if they refuse to improve our EDUCATION,SECURITY,POWER SECTOR AND ALL ROUND ECONOMY.

TO SOUTH AFRICANS AND NIGERIANS LET LOVE REIGN!!

TO ALL AFRICANS LET US SEE OURSELVES NOT AS A MEMBER OF ONE TRIBE OR THE OTHER OR AS A CITIZEN OF ONE COUNTRY,,INSTEAD LETS SEE OURSELVES AS A CONTINENT OF ONE PEOPLE WITH ONE GOAL AND PURPOSE.

I PRAY FOR A CONTINENT OF PEACE ,A CONTINENT WITHOUT BORDERS,A CONTINENT WHERE CORRUPTION IN HIGH PLACES AND LOW PLACES ARE A THING OF THE PAST,A COUNTRY WHERE DEVELOPMENT AND LOVE IS THE ORDER OF THE DAY.I PRAY FOR AFRICA.
